WYSIWYG Wiki Markup → the WWW

If your Web browser had a previous knowledge of a wiki dialogue, which is entirely possible, they're not complex (by design), and was able to ascertain the POST URL to modify the wiki page by scanning the page for an edit link and taking a peek, then it is feasible that you should be able to modify the page inline and simply POST it off to the server without ever having to know about the markup.

Bam. Full circle. Well, almost; PUT will have been shunned in favour of POST, which all Web browsers actually contain support for. Odd, indeed.

It is very tempting!

Maybe just a proof of concept, that'd be the most fun, running all the way gets tedious.

hey there,

i read u'r page on A list apart's site, frankly i could make no sense out of it :-| am a lazy teen looking for ready to use scripts, and you have given a a nice long explanation with no instructions on which code to put in where in a page, so the page did no good to me...:-( all i ask is if you cud send me a step by step easy to follow instruction on how to create a page where people can switch the styles of my site. and also i have this very abstract doubt ...if you can take a look at helical-library.net, the author gemma has used a ASP based style switcher code, and when we opt for a style switch there is different positioning of elements as well......that is to say, if the default page has the menu on the left top when we opt for a switch the menu's are on the right...now i was wondering how is this possible??? Where can we control this ? in the css???

and no offence but when you do make the instruction on the style switcher easier , do it like the dynamicdrice.com folks, they break down the code on the basis of where it has to be inserted ,for example

"....step1 - this code has to be inserted in the
"head, step 2- this code has to inserted in the body" ...etc etc...

so you get my point ? when you make the code at the simplest, that way you can reach out to the novice users (like me!)....so yea thats it frm me, i hope you get back.

Eagerly awaiting a reply,
